Line Operative

Contract Personnel is recruiting for a privately owned manufacturer and developer of plastic packaging for a variety of industries, with many well-known brands, with a reputation for quality, service, and innovation. 

The Role:

Working in a small team to ensure that quality and cleanliness of product are maintained to an excellent standard, while responsible for packing, labelling and recording product as necessary.

This will include:

Documenting and recording product details.
 Always ensuring quality of product.
 Product inspection.
 Maintaining safety and hygiene standards are met.
 Ensuring operating procedures are always fully complied with
 Respond to machine alarms.
 Conduct colour changes to specific customer standards & complete accurate documentation.
 Machine and auxiliary clean downs.
 Advance to higher grades and take on respective additional responsibilities.
 Assisting with training when level reached.
 Full training will be provided
The Candidate:

For this role, you will ideally need to possess the following skills:

Strong numeracy skills.
Excellent timekeeping.
Good attention to detail.
Clear and accurate record keeping.
Ability to uphold Health and Safety practices.
Desire and ability to learn.
High work ethic and team player.
Desire to progress within the company.
Hours: 

7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week
Monday to Friday
3-shift rotating pattern, (06:00am to 14:00pm, 22:00pm to 06:00am and 14:00pm to 22:00pm (1/2-hour unpaid break per shift)
Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required depending on the needs of the company.
Pay:

£12.71 per hour (Day rate) and £13.51 (Night rate).
Rates will increase with grade progression
