Our client, a leading player in the utilities sector, is seeking a talented and experienced Ops & Support Associate Analyst with expertise in Red Hat Linux. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to join a dynamic team responsible for the support, availability, security, and reliability of critical infrastructure platforms.

Position Overview:
As an Ops & Support Associate Analyst, you will provide essential operational support across a large-scale enterprise Linux estate. The role is perfect for a hands-on Linux professional who excels in troubleshooting and is keen on ensuring the smooth operation of vital business services.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as a primary operational support resource for Red Hat Enterprise Linux platforms and associated services.
Take ownership of incidents and service requests, driving them to resolution.
Conduct detailed technical investigations and root cause analysis of Linux and infrastructure issues.
Support Major Incident Management activities and maintain accurate incident records.
Monitor platform health, performance, and capacity using enterprise monitoring tools.
Develop and maintain operational scripts to automate routine support activities.
Collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, and service delivery teams to enhance operational efficiency.Essential Skills & Experience:

Significant experience supporting enterprise Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.
Strong Linux system administration skills within a production support or infrastructure operations environment.
Proficiency in troubleshooting complex operating system and infrastructure issues.
Solid understanding of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Linux services, networking, and system performance monitoring.
Experience with virtualized infrastructure platforms such as VMware vSphere.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently while contributing to a wider operations team.Desirable Skills:

Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible and scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
Experience with container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) and monitoring tools (Splunk, Grafana).
Understanding of operational tooling like Jira and Confluence.What's In It For You?
