About the Role

Our client is seeking a Litigation Assistant to join the Large Loss Team within the Complex Hub of its Motor department. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to complex, high-value motor injury claims, work closely with a team of experienced fee earners and gradually build your own caseload of lower value matters.

This position is ideal for a proactive and organised individual with experience assisting on complex motor litigation (preferably defendant-side), looking to grow within a supportive and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Large Loss Team in the day-to-day management and progression of complex, litigated motor injury claims
• Participate in strategy discussions and planning with the wider team
• Handle a small caseload of lower value, less complex motor injury files independently
• Support tasks such as CRU/NHS charge handling, disclosure and document management
• Communicate with clients, witnesses, experts and opposing solicitors
• Coordinate meetings and expert appointments and draft routine correspondence
• Maintain accurate case records and time-record activity using the case management system

Team & Clients

The role sits within the Complex Hub of the Motor team, known for its strong collaboration across UK offices and its focus on serious injury and large loss claims.

Clients include:

• Major UK motor insurers
• Claims handling organisations
• Self-insured businesses

Required Experience

• Experience assisting on complex motor injury claims (ideally on the defendant side)
• Familiarity with multi-track and/or catastrophic loss litigation
• Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills
• Ability to manage and prioritise a diverse workload
• Experience with case management and time recording systems (desirable)
