Litigation Assistant &8211; Motor Injury Complex Claims

An established UK law firm is looking for a motivated Litigation Assistant to join its Motor Injury Complex Claims Hub, based in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to litigated motor claims, develop your technical skills, and work as part of a collaborative national team supporting major insurance clients.
This role is ideal for individuals early in their legal careers-such as recent graduates, junior paralegals, or legal assistants-who are highly organised, proactive, and eager to grow their litigation knowledge in a structured and supportive environment.

You will assist fee earners in managing complex, higher-value motor claims by supporting a range of legal and administrative tasks, including:

  Assisting with litigation case preparation
• 
  Supporting document management, disclosure, and evidence collation
• 
  Drafting correspondence and helping maintain accurate case records
• 
  Liaising with clients, experts, witnesses, and opposing solicitors
• 
  Organising meetings, court dates, and appointments with counsel or experts
• 
  Managing task deadlines and maintaining key case timelines
• 
  Helping process CRU/NHS charges and updating case diaries
• 
  Using the case management system for documentation and time recording

You'll receive structured, on-the-job training and support to help you develop your skills and confidence handling complex litigation matters.

This role would suit individuals who are at the start of their legal careers and have a strong interest in litigation or personal injury law.
We're looking for:

• 
  A law degree or relevant legal studies (LPC/SQE completion desirable but not essential)
• 
  Some previous experience in litigation, personal injury, or insurance law (desirable but not essential)
• 
  Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• 
  Ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload
• 
  Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach
• 
  Familiarity with case management systems (advantageous but not required)
