You will run your own matters and work alongside the senior attorneys on a broad commercial disputes caseload. Bermuda work is genuinely international: the island is a major centre for insurance, reinsurance and investment funds, so the disputes are cross-border, high value and rarely routine. Bermuda also has no personal income tax.

What we’re looking for in a Litigation Associate
At least 3 years' post-qualification experience A recognised Commonwealth designation (England and Wales, Australia, Canada, South Africa, New Zealand, Ireland or similar) Proven advocacy, with a track record of conducting litigation to a high standard in court Solid general commercial litigation experience, which is essential Strong legal research and opinion writing Confident, courteous communication with clients, lawyers and colleagues The organisation to carry a busy caseload and several live matters at once Discretion and sound judgement Flexibility to work outside normal hours when a matter demands it Experience in debt recovery and enforcement, contentious estates, landlord and tenant or banking enforcement is particularly welcome. An interest in business development is an advantage.
