Litigation Lawyer

Job DescriptionWe are currently working in partnership with Local Authority based in the West Midlands, who are recruiting for a Criminal Litigation Lawyer on a locum basis, for an initial 3-months, with potential extension.Candidates will be required to handle attended hearings in Courts across the West Midlands.The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis, and is offering an hourly rate of circa £50 PAYE.Duties will include (but are not limited to):Handling a varied caseload on Criminal Litigation matters on behalf of the CouncilAdvising in respect of selective and additional licensing schemes and enforcement workConducting advocacy as required in relation to cases involving trading standards, environmental health and licensing mattersExperience required:Handling criminal litigation and government prosecutionsBackground within Local GovernmentWorking hours:37 hours per weekMonday – FridayAttendance required in Courts in the West MidlandsPlease note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.
