Litigation Paralegal

Job Title: Litigation Paralegal
Salary Range: £24,000 to £28,000 + Bonuses
Location: Sheffield
Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Role Overview & Daily Responsibilities:

• Manage a Defended caseload of small claims and some higher value claims via a diary system to take appropriate follow up action
• Review High Value or Complex pre-legal debts to assess suitability for legal action
• Pursue defended claims through small claims, fast track and multi-track by drafting pleadings, witness statements and producing court bundles.
• Advise clients on legal matters, prospects for successful recovery and assist with overcoming disputes and reasons for non-payment
• Work with courts, enforcement agencies and other suppliers to ensure high standards of service are maintained at all times
• Insolvency Action for Bankruptcy/Winding Up Petitions
• Return of Goods Claims
• Such other duties as may be required

About the Business:

• CRA Consulting are delighted to be working with a firm who due to their ambitious growth plans, are looking to strengthen their team based from offices just outside of Sheffield City Centre. They are part of a group employing over 500 people, in debt recovery, throughout the UK.
• They work with some of the largest retail, banking and commercial businesses around the UK to help recover overdue debts and arrange payment solutions, helping people clear their debts.
• Due to increasing workloads in the legal team, they are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join their growing Legal Department in Sheffield.

Application Criteria:

• You will hold a minimum of 6-12 months experience as a Paralegal
• Exposure to litigation is essential
• Ideally you will have some knowledge of litigated small claims in relation to debt recovery
