Litigation paralegal or Junior solicitor

Requirements

• Offer legal advice and legal documentation, and assist senior solicitors at all levels and other clients of the Legal Department.
  
• Develop competent knowledge and offer legal advice in Litigation (civil, criminal, public and employment).
  
• Offer legal advice at your level of knowledge.
  
• Competently conduct and manage cases
  
• To attend, as required, at tribunals, courts, meetings, and to develop the skills and ability to advise clients on their litigation case.
  
• Conduct interviews with clients
  
• Understand client expectations and requirements
  
• Assess legal problems and advise clients on costs.
  
• Conduct legal research for each case. Devise an outline strategy for the case.
  
• Deliver transactional goals. Draft case papers and get information from relevant experts
  
• Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the other side’s case and brief a barrister.
  
• Help to negotiate settlements
  
• Meet deadlines for court appearances. Issue proceedings.
  
• Attend court to conduct advocacy and/or with counsel and/or to take notes. Make applications to the court
