Litigation Solicitor (Part-Time)

Remuneration: £45,573 - £48,836 plus a market supplement of up to £4,786 per annum (pro rata) and generous benefits including Local Government Pension Scheme.

Introduction:
Waverley Borough Council seeks a Litigation Solicitor to join their team on a part-time basis, of around 18 – 30 hours per week, on a flexible working pattern.

As Litigation Lawyer, you will manage a broad litigation caseload touching upon both civil and criminal matters. You will be supported by a Senior Lawyer and Deputy Borough Solicitor to further develop your experience and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
Advise on regulatory and prosecutions matters, civil claims, possessions, and housing disrepair
Deal with licensing matters including attending the Council’s licensing committees
Provide support to Senior Lawyers and potentially Deputy Borough Solicitor

About you:
Qualified solicitor, barrister, or legal executive with an up-to-date practising certificate (the cost of the practising certificate will be met annually by Waverley Borough Council)
Experience of working in either civil, commercial or criminal litigation
