Hours: Monday to Friday, 10am-6pm, with flexibility when entertaining
An experienced, warm, and service-oriented House Manager / Butler is sought to join a discreet, well-established household in London. The position is live-in, offering a separate 2-bedroom terraced house adjacent to the main residence.
This is a hands-on and service-led role supporting an UHNW couple who travel often. You'll be managing the smooth day-to-day operation of the home and staff, ensuring the property is run to the highest standard, while maintaining a calm and unflappable presence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and supervise two long-standing full-time housekeepers and one part-time/travelling housekeeper (occasionally assisting with their workload)
• Liaise with other members of staff including a PA, gardeners, and the family office
• Ensure the care and presentation of fine furniture, artwork, delicate fabrics, and special finishes
• Provide warm, professional front-of-house service including guest welcome and care
• Set, lay, and clear tables for meals and occasional entertaining
• Provision the household and manage all shopping - a full driving licence is essential
• Prepare and cook simple, fresh, healthy meals as required
• Manage wardrobe care and seasonal organisation
• Carry out light household maintenance (e.g. changing lightbulbs, paint touch-ups, keeping an eye on the property)
• Drive for errands as needed
• Care for two much-loved dogs, including feeding
• Liaise with a property management company for maintenance needs
• Accompany or travel ahead of the principals on occasional trips

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience in a similar private household, ideally with 3+ years' longevity
• Background in house management, butler, with managerial responsibilities
• Approachable, unflappable, discreet, and confident taking charge in a warm, hands-on manner
• Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently
• Confident in the kitchen, happy cooking informal meals
• Pet-friendly
• Non-smoker
