Live -in Housekeeper req nr Swindon, 2 bed cottage, £40k gross pa

Compassionate and caring Live-in Housekeeper sought for a lovely private household near Swindon, Wiltshire, supporting an elderly principal in a beautifully renovated home set within approximately two acres of landscaped gardens.

A nursing background or previous experience working as a Carer would be an advantage.

Duties include all general housekeeping, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and preparing wholesome home-cooked meals for the principal. Some light caring responsibilities may also be required, including prompting and ensuring medication is taken as prescribed. It is therefore essential that the successful candidate has a kind, patient and compassionate nature.

A full, clean driving licence is essential, as the role will include driving the principal to appointments and other engagements when required.

The position is based on a 5 day working week, with occasional weekend work required.

Typical hours are 9am to 4pm, although some flexibility may be needed.

A lovely two-bedroom cottage within the grounds is provided as staff accommodation. Regret not suitable for pets or dependents.

Salary is negotiable, in the region of £40k gross per annum, depending on experience.
