Loan Operations Specialist

G MASS are seeking a Loan Operations and Settlements specialist to join the London Operations team at a leading global alternative asset manager, taking ownership of loan operations while supporting settlements across a broad, multi-asset trading book.

This is an initial contract, offering the chance to become the firm's go-to expert on loans while broadening your exposure across equities, futures, derivatives, credit and bonds. You'll sit within the Settlements team, straddling settlements and corporate actions, and play a key role in upskilling colleagues in loan operations. Responsibilities

• Take ownership of loan operations end to end, managing primary and secondary loan trades from trade capture through to close, including processing on ClearPar
• Handle agent notices and lifecycle events including rollovers, paydowns, rate resets, amendments and restructurings, reconciling positions and cash against agent, trustee and administrator records
• Act as the team's subject matter expert on loans, upskilling colleagues and building their understanding of loan systems, flows and market conventions
• Support the settlement of market trades across equities, futures, derivatives, credit and bonds, chasing and resolving fails with counterparties and custodians
• Contribute to corporate actions and wider lifecycle event processing, helping close operational gaps across asset classes
• Build strong relationships with portfolio management, trading, trustees, administrators and global operations colleagues, operating within information-barrier protocols for public-side funds

• 4 years'+ experience in loan settlement, loan closing or loan operations at an investment bank or investment manager
• Hands-on ClearPar experience, with a strong understanding of LSTA/LMA documentation and settlement conventions
• Exposure to settlements or corporate actions across other asset classes such as equities, derivatives or fixed income
• The experience and confidence to handle non-standard events and explain loan processes clearly to others
• A high-performing track record, with the ambition to broaden your skill set
