Job Description - Logistics Administrator

Monday to Friday - Office Hours - ALL OFFICE BASED

Hours: 7.30/8pm start time, and finish 3.30/4pm

Working as part of a busy Logistics team this role is assisting with the import of products into the local Customs warehouse ensuring that they arrive at the earliest opportunity. You will be responsible for the shipment of orders, from the local Customs warehouse to clients across the EMEA territory, ensuring that they are delivered to the right place at the right time.

This role requires high attention to detail, accuracy, data entry, administration and planning, along with strong Excel skills. You do not necessarily need to come from a supply chain / logistics background however need to show the willingness to learn and have good administration skills, therefore this position is also suitable for a Graduate looking to join the logistic industry.

Your role:

  • Manage inbound shipment alerts from suppliers
  • Coordinate with the warehouse team to plan deliveries into local Customs warehouse
  • Ensure that all goods are received into the ERP system in a timely manner
  • Maintain receipts into the HMRC Customs & Warehouse Management System
  • Own the process of receipting local inventory, management of stock transfers
  • Finalise all daily shipments
  • Provide historical shipping information to the sales offices/customers as required
  • Deal with local customer service reps or planning to resolve shortages
  • Establish strong relationships with freight forwarders and customs broker
  • Check inventory levels, scheduling and allocations
  • Work with management to review, plan and suggest areas of improvement within supply chain that increase productivity, reduce cost and improve customer service

The person:

  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook & Access)
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with a good eye for detail.
  • Able to communicate effectively and confidently with both internal & external clients and suppliers
  • Must be self-motivated and a good team player
  • Must demonstrate good time management and prioritisation skills
  • Is flexible and able to re-prioritise when necessary
  • Is able to work well in a time-sensitive environment
