Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have a background in negotiating rates with customers and hauliers, a proven track record in achieving targets, and the ability to perform under pressure. They should exhibit a solid team ethic, possess strong commercial awareness, and have substantial knowledge of sub-contracting within the transport sector. Additionally, the candidate must be prepared to participate in an on-call rota.
Key Responsibilities:
Negotiate rates with customer's and hauliers to secure the best deals.
Achieve and exceed performance targets in a high-pressure environment.
Collaborate effectively with team members, demonstrating reliability and accountability.
Utilize commercial awareness to contribute to business success.
Manage sub-contracting activities, ensuring compliance with transport legislation and cost efficiency.
Participate in an on-call rota as required.
