Job Description - Logistics Coordinator

This Logistics Coordinator role in London supports the daily logistics and customer service operations for a multinational chemical company's Environmental Health and Agribusiness divisions across EMEA, coordinating between customers, warehouses, and internal teams. It offers a strong development path toward a Logistics Officer position making it ideal for candidates with experience in logistics.

Our client is a leading multinational corporation operating within the chemical manufacturing sector. With a strong global footprint and a reputation for innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence, the company supplies high-performance chemical solutions to a wide range of industrial sectors.

As part of their strategic growth and supply chain optimisation initiatives, they are seeking a skilled Logistics Manager to lead the logistics operations across the UK and European region.

Description

As Logistics Coordinator you will be reporting to the Logistics Manager in the London office and can expect to have the following responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries professionally and promptly, ensuring accurate and appropriate responses-either directly or by liaising with relevant departments.
  • Act as the main point of contact for delivery tracking, shipping status, and related logistics queries.
  • Manage end-to-end order processing:
  • Receive and validate purchase orders
  • Allocate stock and arrange transport
  • Prepare shipping/export documentation
  • Issue order confirmations and accurate invoices in a timely manner
  • Liaise daily with third-party warehouses (UK & NL) to coordinate dispatches, check stock availability, and resolve shipment issues.
  • Maintain and update documentation databases, including Certificates of Analysis and Certificates of Origin.
  • Provide general administrative support for logistics and sales teams.
  • Provide backup support for the dispatch of samples.

Profile

The successful Logistics Coordinator candidate will come with the following:

  • Previous experience within a commercial head office logisitcs role.
  • Experience with invoicing processes and customer documentation handling.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills; able to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Spanish or other European languages is a plus.
  • Numerate, accurate and detail oriented.
  • Good organisation skills, able to work to strict deadlines and under pressure.
  • Commutable distance into London
  • Working knowledge of Excel (basic to intermediate) and other MS Office applications.

Job Offer

On offer for the successful Logistics Coordinator will be the following:

  • £40k basic salary
  • Annual bonus 20% (paid May)
  • Holiday allowance 27 days + Bank Holidays + xmas closure
  • 9% pension scheme
