Our client is seeking an organised and proactive Logistics Coordinator to manage the movement of goods and equipment across the UK, Europe & ROW. The successful candidate will have practical experience of European logistics, including cross-border movements and the documentation required. They will coordinate transport, hauliers and customs agents, and ensure collections and deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on schedule, in accordance with the correct documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate UK and European collections, deliveries and return movements.

• Arrange transport with suitable hauliers and freight forwarders, balancing cost, reliability and delivery deadlines.

• Prepare, check and maintain transport and shipping documentation, ensuring it accurately reflects the goods being moved.

• Liaise with customs agents to arrange import, export and transit formalities, providing complete and accurate information.

• Confirm that the documentation and border references required for each movement are ready before dispatch.

Essential experience and knowledge

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a logistics, transport coordination or freight forwarding role.

• Demonstrable experience coordinating goods movements between the UK, Europe ROW.

• Working knowledge of border procedures, transit times and country-specific transport requirements.

• Practical understanding of the documents and references used in international transport, including when they apply.

• Clear, professional communication with colleagues, customers and transport partners. • Ability to prioritise several shipments and meet changing deadlines.

• A calm, practical approach to resolving problems.

• Confidence using Microsoft Excel, email and logistics or transport management systems.

• Commercial awareness and the ability to identify cost-effective transport options
