Logistics Operative

A growing engineering business is looking for a hands-on Logistics Operative to support equipment deliveries, customer handovers, collections, yard operations and workshop preparation.

This is a varied role suited to someone practical, reliable and customer-focused who enjoys working with equipment and taking pride in keeping things organised, safe and running smoothly.

Duties

Deliver and collect equipment from customer sites.

*

Set up equipment and complete basic customer handovers.

*

Record returned equipment condition and report any damage.

*

Clean and prepare equipment before dispatch.

*

Move assets between the yard, workshop and storage areas.

*

Support loading and unloading safely.

*

Liaise with third-party transport drivers.

*

Keep the yard clean, tidy and well organised.

*

Support waste control, facilities tasks and general engineering support.

*

Follow RAMS, method statements and site procedures.

Requirements

*

Full UK driving licence with no disqualifications.

*

Experience in logistics, delivery, yard work, warehouse, plant hire, stores, engineering support or a similar hands-on role.

*

Practical, reliable and safety-conscious approach.

*

Good communication and customer service skills.

*

Strong attention to detail.

*

Positive, can-do attitude.

Desirable

*

Forklift licence.

*

CSCS card.

*

IPAF or working at height qualification.

*

Experience with mechanical/electrical equipment.

*

Plant hire, tool hire, engineering or equipment handling experience.

*Training can be provided for the right person.
