Warehouse Operative – Reach Truck

Salary: £13.50 per hour + 25% night shift allowance
Hours: 39 hours per week

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Operative with a valid Reach Truck Licence to join a busy warehouse operation. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring customer orders are picked, prepared and despatched accurately and efficiently to both UK and export markets.

You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring stock is handled safely and accurately while helping the team achieve and exceed key warehouse performance targets.

Key Responsibilities

Picking and preparing customer orders accurately and efficiently.

Loading and unloading goods using a Reach Truck.

Safely operating warehouse equipment and material-handling equipment.

Ensuring customer orders are correctly packed, labelled and prepared for despatch.

Supporting the despatch of orders to UK and international/export customers.

Moving and storing stock safely and efficiently within the warehouse.

Checking goods against relevant documentation to ensure accuracy.

Maintaining accurate stock levels and reporting any discrepancies.

Ensuring all warehouse paperwork and system transactions are completed correctly.

Working to agreed warehouse KPIs, productivity targets and service levels.

Supporting the team to achieve and exceed warehouse performance targets.

Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.

Following all company Health & Safety procedures and warehouse processes.

Reporting any damaged goods, stock discrepancies or operational issues to the appropriate manager.

Working effectively as part of a wider warehouse and logistics team.

About You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a busy warehouse environment and hold a valid Reach Truck Licence. You will be comfortable working to targets and deadlines, with good attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.

You should also have:

A valid and in-date Reach Truck Licence.

Previous warehouse or distribution experience.

Experience operating MHE safely and efficiently.

Good attention to detail when picking and despatching orders.

The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A reliable and hardworking approach.

Good understanding of Health & Safety within a warehouse environment.

The ability to work effectively during night shifts.

A willingness to support wider warehouse operations when required.

Working Hours

39 hours per week:

Sunday: 10:00pm – 6:00am

Monday: 10:00pm – 6:00am

Tuesday: 10:00pm – 6:00am

Wednesday: 10:00pm – 6:00am

Thursday: 10:00pm – 5:00am
