Logistics / Warehouse / Yard Supervisor

LOGICALPS are one of the UKs leading labour providers to the construction and nuclear sectors. Working on behalf our client, a world leader in construction, we are currently looking to recruit a Yard Supervisor for a role in Woodbridge, starting July 2026.

Details:

* Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-5pm

* Duration: 6 months

* Rate: £27-£28.50 ph

* PAYE with holiday pay and pension on top - directly employed

Duties Include:

* Supervising and coordinating all yard activities including loading, unloading, storage, and dispatch of materials and equipment.

* Ensure proper stacking, labelling, and securing of materials to maintain safety and accessibility.

* Monitor and maintain yard cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with safety regulations.

* Conduct regular inspections of lifting equipment, containers, and storage areas.

* Coordinate with project managers, logistics teams, and maintenance staff to ensure timely availability of equipment.

* Maintain accurate records of inventory, equipment movement, and yard operations.

* Enforce safety procedures and lead by example in promoting a safety-first culture.

* Train and supervise yard workers, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.

* Report any incidents, damages, or safety concerns to management promptly.

We are looking for candidates with:

* SMSTS/SSSTS or cscs gold card

* NVQ on plant repair on maintenance preferable nut not essential.

* Flexibility for extended hours depending on site needs.

* Previous experience in yard or site supervision, preferably in an industrial or construction environment.

* Strong knowledge of material handling, lifting operations, and safety standards.

* Good organizational and communication skills.

* Basic computer skills for inventory and reporting (Excel, ERP systems, etc)
