Machine Learning Manager

Realtime are extremely proud to be partnering with a global tech leader on their search for an experienced Machine Learning Engineering Manager to lead their agile ML Engineering team here in Belfast. This team are providing word class machine learning solutions at scale to some major clients and are on their way to becoming a billion dollar organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the creation, implementation, and maintenance of scalable analytic solutions, working closely with data scientists, software engineers, and other team members.
Provide strategic technical direction, support, and mentorship, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Lead the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of ML engineers, managing teams across different regions.
Establish clear objectives, deliver consistent feedback, and promote professional growth to help team members meet their goals.
Encourage collaboration and knowledge exchange between teams to address business needs effectively.
Regularly update stakeholders on progress and potential risks, ensuring projects align with overall business goals.
Uphold high-quality standards, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and address any customer-related challenges.

Desirable Technical Experience:
Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, or Python.
Experience with NLP, ML-Ops, and data pipelines.
Familiarity with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
Strong understanding of ML algorithms, statistical techniques, and data analysis.
Experience with AWS or other cloud technology
Background in AI/ML-based analytics products and distributed systems.
Knowledge of model servers such as Triton Inference Server.
Experience in microservices, event-driven architecture, and cloud scalability.
Other desirable skills: Kafka, MySQL, Postgres, Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, Bamboo, ArgoCD, Prometheus, Grafana, and API design.
