Job Description - Machine Operator

Machine Operator
Based in MildenhallSalary: Circa £24,000 per annum (£12.75 per hour)
 
Shift Pattern:
  • 4-week rotation:
  • Week 1–4: Monday to Wednesday, 6:00am – 6:00pm
  • Week 5–8: Thursday to Saturday, 6:00am – 6:00pm
Every 8 weeks: 1 full week off between shifts

Role Summary
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the Machine Operator plays a key role in maintaining production efficiency, ensuring machinery is operated safely and effectively, and supporting a clean and organised working environment.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate, feed, and run production machinery
  • Carry out machine setting and basic adjustments
  • Conduct quality control checks, including first-off and in-run inspections
  • Accurately record production data
  • Participate in cross-training and support team flexibility
Skills & Experience
  • Experience as a general machine operator
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Literate, numerate, and physically fit for the role
