Machine Operator

Quick Staff UK is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturer based in the Ebbw Vale area of South Wales. On behalf of our client, we are looking to recruit a team of Machine Operators. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established company offering stability, excellent training, and attractive shift incentives. This role will become permanent after 13 weeks on assignment with Quick Staff UK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate machinery and equipment safely in line with company Health & Safety policies.
• Wear and use protective clothing and equipment as provided.
• Ensure all products meet quality standards through online inspection procedures.
• Manufacture products according to schedules, work instructions, and specifications.
• Carry out additional duties as reasonably requested by supervisors, managers, or directors.

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential (full training provided).
• Strong attention to detail to maintain product quality.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Reliable and flexible to work a rotating shift pattern (days and nights).
• You must live local or be able to commute to Ebbw Vale on a daily basis

Hours of Work:

• 24/4 shift pattern (1 week of days, 1 week of nights)
• 12-hour shifts (6:00am to 6:00pm / 6:00pm to 6:00am)
• 40 hours at basic rate + 5 hours overtime (paid at 1.5x basic)

Pay Rate:
£581.40 per week

Starting at £12.24 per hour, increase to £12.53 per hour following successful probation and increase to £12.96 per hour upon full training and competency sign-off.
