Machine Operator

Rapid Personnel are recruiting for Machine Operatives to work with one of the UK’s leading food manufacturers based in Newport. This is a vital position within the factory operations to ensure daily tasks are running efficiently.
This is a temp-to-perm position and after 12 weeks you will be offered a permanent contract with the company directly. If you are looking for job security, then consider joining the largest manufacturing sector.
Responsibilities
* Maintaining a safe work environment and monitor equipment.
* Ensure that the weights, vacuum, torque and codes for each product is correct.
* Ensure that the labels and packaging is correct for the product.
* Carry out cleaning procedures.
* Change over the machines for product and line changes.
* Manufacture the product to the required specification, in a quality and hygienic manner.
* Carrying out safety checks on the machinery.
* Lifting and manoeuvring stock items up to 20kg.

Available shifts:
Rotating shift - Monday to Friday, 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 - £14.50 to £14.90 per hour
OR
Night shift - Sunday to Thursday, 22:00-06:00 - £15.59 to £16.02 per hour
37.5 hours /week
This position would be suitable for anyone who has worked as a Warehouse Operative, Production Operative, Factory Operative, Production Line Worker, Packing Operative, Machine Operative.
Located on the outskirts of Newport, we now provide a transportation to and from the site, with pick up/drop off points in Cardiff and Newport at a cost of £3/day.
