Machine Operator

Job Description:

HR Employment is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join their team in the extrusion department.

This role involves operating machinery, performing precise measurements, and utilizing computer systems to ensure efficient production processes. It also requires Forklift Licence as Forklift is used through the shift,

The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, adaptable, and committed to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Hours: Pitman shift 12 hours, Days and Nights and every second weekend. Please enquire about the shift pattern if you are unsure.

Please note that for this role, weekends will be included.

Key Responsibilities:

* Operate and monitor machinery to ensure optimal performance.

* Perform accurate measurements using appropriate tools and equipment.

* Utilize computer systems for data entry, monitoring, and reporting.

* Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.

* Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery.

* Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets.

* Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

* Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

* Driving a forklift

* Palletizing

* Lifting

Qualifications:

* Basic computer skills and familiarity with data entry.

* Counterbalance Licence

* Ability to read and interpret measurements and technical drawings.

* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

* Good communication and teamwork abilities.

* Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including days and nights.

Physical Requirements:

* Ability to stand for extended periods.

* Capability to lift and move materials as needed.

* Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Licence/Certification:

* Forklift Licence (preferred)
