Machine Operator / General Operator

Location: Falkirk
Contract: Temporary, until the end of December 2026
Pay Rate: £15.50 per hour, including night-shift allowance

The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator / General Operator to join our team at a busy manufacturing site in Falkirk.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating WPD machinery and carrying out general production duties, while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and efficiency.

Working Hours

* Tuesday to Friday

* 12-hour shifts

* Day shift: 06:00–18:00

* Night shift rotation every 3rd week

* £15.50 per hour, inclusive of night-shift allowance

Key Responsibilities

* Safely operate WPD machinery and equipment

* Carry out general production and factory duties

* Follow production processes and instructions

* Maintain good housekeeping standards within the workplace

* Complete tasks efficiently while maintaining quality standards

* Follow all company health and safety procedures

* Report any equipment issues or safety concerns to the appropriate person

Requirements

* Previous factory, manufacturing or production experience is desirable

* Experience operating machinery would be advantageous

* A valid FLT licence would be beneficial

* Good attitude and willingness to learn

* Reliable and punctual

* Able to work 12-hour shifts and participate in the night-shift rotation

* Strong awareness of health and safety

Training & Health and Safety

Full onboarding and training will be provided to all successful candidates. You will receive the relevant training and guidance required to carry out your duties safely and effectively.
