Machine Operator / Production Operative – Woolston

Amnis Recruitment is working with an established manufacturing business in Woolston, Southampton, and we're looking for Machine Operators / Production Operatives to join their growing team.

We're looking for people who are reliable, hardworking and happy to get stuck in. You don't necessarily need packaging experience – if you've worked in manufacturing, production, machine operation, packing, assembly or a busy factory environment, we'd like to hear from you.

The Role

You'll be working within a busy manufacturing environment, with duties including:

* Operating and monitoring production machinery

* Feeding materials into machines and keeping production moving

* Setting up and making adjustments to machinery

* Packing, labelling and preparing finished products

* Carrying out quality checks throughout production

* Handling materials and production reels

* Weighing, wrapping and palletising finished goods

* Identifying and reporting machine faults

* Keeping your work area clean, organised and safe

* Working with the wider team to meet production targets

Depending on your experience, there may also be opportunities to work with printing, lamination, slitting/rewinding, bag-making and converting machinery.

Who Are We Looking For?

We're looking for people who turn up, work hard, are willing to learn and want to become part of a good team.

Previous experience as a Machine Operator, Production Operative, Manufacturing Operative, Packaging Operative, Factory Operative or similar would be ideal.

You must also be comfortable working 12-hour rotating day and night shifts.
