Machine Setter - Backshift - Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and maintain machinery within the chilled potato factory to optimize production efficiency.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Monitor production lines during operations to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with the production team to achieve production targets and quality standards.
• Record machine settings and adjustments for quality assurance and continuous improvement purposes.
• Provide training and support to new team members on machinery operation and safety protocols.

Job Details

• Hours of Work: 14:00 - 22:30 / 16:00 - 22:30
• Rate of Pay: £12.67 - £13.73 (after approx. 12 weeks training) + 50p p/h shift allowance
• Enhanced overtime rate

• Previous experience as a Machine Setter in a food production or manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Familiarity with health and safety practices within a food production setting.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining high-quality standards during production.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work well in a team setting.
• Willingness to work the designated backshift hours and adapt to changing production demands.
