Are you a CNC Machinist, CNC Miller or CNC Turner looking for a permanent role where you will be properly supported, trained on the areas you're missing, and treated like a valued part of the engineering team?
Do you want a clean, professional workshop where you're not constantly time-pressured and your input is listened to?
This is a permanent position with a well-established, globally recognised engineering business, manufacturing prototype and low-volume parts for highly technical industrial equipment.
You'll join a small, close-knit machine shop team, working steady weekday hours with minimal overtime and a real focus on quality over quantity.In this role you will program, set and operate CNC milling and turning machines (3/4 axis milling and 2 axis turning), machining a variety of materials including steels and tungsten. You'll work to tight tolerances, inspect your own work using precision measuring equipment, and support new product development from early concept through to completion.
This role would suit a CNC Machinist looking for a stable, long-term position in a professional environment, with training available on specific machines/programming and the chance to take pride in producing precision one-off components for new product development.
The Role:
Programming, setting and operating CNC mills (3/4 axis) and CNC lathes (2 axis) to produce prototype/low-volume parts Working from engineering drawings and tight tolerances, inspecting your own work with precision measuring equipment Supporting new part development (NPD) and collaborating with engineering/design teams Monday - Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-1pm (minimal overtime)The Person:
Experienced CNC Machinist with programming, setting and operating experience (milling and/or turning) Apprentice trained and/or 5+ years' experience within a precision machining environment Comfortable reading engineering drawings and working to tight tolerancesReference Number: BBBH(phone number removed)
