You will be responsible for the design and development of mechanisms, machine systems and complete special purpose machines.
Key responsibilities include:
Designing new machine systems, mechanisms, and components Modifying and improving existing machine designs to meet customer requirements Working on machine tool design, tooling, and automated systems Supporting manufacturing and assembly during machine build and commissioning Producing detailed CAD models and engineering drawings Managing BOMs and part releases via SAP Conducting design reviews, DFMEA and PFMEA Supporting technical bids and customer-facing documentation
Essential:
Min 5 years design experience in: Machine tool design Special purpose machinery (SPM) Bespoke automated machines / production systems Strong background in mechanism and machine design (not just static components) Proven experience designing moving assemblies and complex systems Ability to work across the full machine lifecycle
Also desirable:
HNC/HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering 3D CAD experience (Siemens NX - advantageous) Experience with manufacturing processes and assembly support Familiarity with DFMEA / PFMEA / design reviewsThe Opportunity
