VACANCY: Workshop Machinist

As part of our rapid growth, we are recruiting for a Workshop Machinist to join our workshop operation in Maidstone. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machinist with CNC and manual machining expertise who takes pride in producing high-quality components safely, accurately, and efficiently.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will manufacture precision-machined components from technical drawings while contributing to a safe and organised workshop environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Workshop Machinist, you will be responsible for:

* Manufacturing components using both CNC and manual machining equipment

* Setting up CNC machines, selecting tooling and running programmes safely and efficiently

* Producing components accurately to technical drawings and specifications

* Completing machining operations within required lead times

* Carrying out quality inspections on finished products

* Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop

* Supporting stock-taking activities when required

* Following company procedures and health & safety standards at all times

ABOUT YOU:

The successful candidate will have:

* Previous CNC machining experience, including machine setup, tooling, offsets and operation

* Experience operating manual machining equipment

* The ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings

* A strong understanding of machining tolerances and quality standards

* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

* The ability to work independently and as part of a team

* A positive attitude and commitment to producing quality workmanship
