Machinist (Press Brake)

My client in the Wombwell area are looking for an experienced Machinist.

Duties of the Role
Operate guillotine, press brake, CNC plasma cutter, and band saw machinery to prepare metal components.
Work out cut sizes from 2D drawings and sketches.
Set up and adjust machines according to production plans and technical drawings.
Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
Inspect finished pieces to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Complete relevant paperwork and production records.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Follow all site safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times.

Experience Required
Previous experience operating guillotine, press brake, CNC plasma, or band saw machinery is essential.
Ability to read and interpret 2D technical drawings.
Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication and workshop safety procedures.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Physical fitness to handle manual tasks and prolonged periods of standing, lifting, and carrying.
