We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business with an annual turnover of £250 million. As part of continued investment in its operations, including the construction of a new £25 million warehouse, the company is looking to appoint a practical, hands-on Maintenance Engineer to support the upkeep of both production equipment and site facilities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer looking to broaden their skills and develop into a multi-skilled role. You will receive ongoing training and support while working within a stable, growing business that offers long-term career prospects, varied day-to-day responsibilities and the chance to be involved in an expanding manufacturing facility.
Maintenance Technician – The Role:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production machinery and site equipment Respond to mechanical breakdowns and perform reactive maintenance Support the maintenance and upkeep of factory facilities and infrastructure Assist with improving preventative maintenance procedures and maintenance documentation Carry out basic fault finding and repairs across mechanical equipment Support PUWER assessments and safe operation of machinery Maintain accurate maintenance records and work logs Work safely while carrying out maintenance tasks, including working at height when required Contribute to ongoing site improvement and expansion projects Maintenance Technician – What We're Looking For:
Mechanical maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment Engineering Apprenticeship, HNC, City & Guilds or equivalent practical experience Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills Electrical and pneumatic maintenance knowledge would be advantageous Comfortable working at height Self-motivated with a practical, hands-on approach Good communication and organisational skills Basic IT skills for recording maintenance activities Willingness to undertake additional training and occasional overtime Why Join?
