Position – Maintenance Assistant

Location – Ormskirk to work a regional position

Working times – 8:00am until 16:30pm – Mon/Friday

Salary – £24,000 – £26,000, Van/Fuel Card, 32 days holiday including banks, Death in service, Sick Pay, Pension, Call Out/Extensive earnings, available OT paid at double time.

Client

My client specialises in all types of Health Sector projects, ranging from full ward refurbishments, change of use, general facilities and building maintenance. This will include mental health premises.

You’ll be apart of a superb support network of 9 people that work this region, and the position WILL be busy during working hours, whilst maintaining a phenomenal representative to the team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance and repair of facilities in a variety of commercial and public environments.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks such as Fire alarm checks, flushing water outlets, visual/operational inspections to mechanical equipment such as heating appliances & more.
• Respond to maintenance requests from various departments.
• Fabricate or repair parts as needed.
• Supervise and coordinate contractors for larger repair projects.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities in a CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System)
• Provide excellent customer service to all clients.

You must have or hold

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ipaf & Pasma, or any relevant C&G or NVQ.
• Previous experience in a maintenance role preferred.
• Electrical maintenance experience is highly sought after.
• Knowledge of basic maintenance techniques and tools
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving skills

Progression through the company is possible, with in-depth experience of the role being an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided where required.
