Job Description - Maintenance Assistant

Location: Market Harborough

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Contract: Temp to perm

Hours: Flexible working and part-time arrangements may be considered

We are working with a well-established organisation in Market Harborough who are seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Assistant to support their site operations on a temporary basis.

This is a varied role well suited to someone with practical skills who enjoys problem-solving and working independently.

The Role:

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the site remains safe, functional and well maintained. Your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out general repairs and maintenance tasks

Electronically reporting and logging repairs

Responding promptly to maintenance requests across the sites

Assisting with planned and preventative maintenance works

Supporting overall site safety and security

Taking and accurately recording utility meter readings

Occasionally arranging contractors for any large repairs/issues

About You:

Previous experience in maintenance, caretaking or a similar role

Strong practical ability and good DIY skills

A reliable and flexible approach to work

The ability to work independently and manage your own workload

A full UK driving licence
