We are currently recruiting for a Maintrol Engineer to be based in Manchester, this role acts as the central coordination point between Line Stations, third‑party maintenance providers and pilots to ensure safe and reliable daily operations.

Please note that this role is open only to candidates who already have the right to live and work in the UK, sponsorship is not available.

Job role: Maintenance Controller

Location: Didsbury, Manchester

Salary Package Inc Shift: £79,812 pa

Permanent Opportunity: Full time working a 5/5/4 shift pattern covering days and nights guaranteeing x2 weekends off each month.

Responsibilities:

Manages scheduled and unscheduled Line Maintenance activities, ensuring full compliance with regulatory and maintenance programme requirements.
Controls and monitors Acceptable Deferred Defects (ADDs), driving timely rectification and coordinating required spares, tooling and documentation.
Supports aircraft recovery through technical guidance, logistics coordination and oversight of crew duty‑time limitations.
Provides real‑time technical assistance to flight crews and engineers during in‑flight or ground‑based operational issues.
Coordinates information flow following aircraft incidents and contributes to recovery planning.
Allocates aircraft in line with operational, engineering and maintenance priorities.
Responsible for improving aircraft and Engineering performance through proactive use of Aircraft monitoring and prognostic tools
Provides specialist technical support as required with due regard for safety, technical, regulatory and commercial requirements.Your experience:

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Ability to interpret complex technical information
Effective influencing and communication skills
High level of situational awareness and decision‑making capability
Ability to prioritise and manage workload in a high‑pressure operational environment
Collaborative approach with internal and external stakeholders
Professional courage and sound technical judgementTo be considered, you will need:

UK/EASA Part‑66 B1 or B2 Licence
Experience in a maintenance or maintenance‑control environment
Proven ability to deliver cost‑effective solutions
Experience improving efficiency and reducing operational costs
Strong attention to detail and adherence to processes
Good understanding of airline operations and procedures
Computer literate, ideally with experience in MS Office and maintenance systems
