Maintenance Engineer

The company are a leading manufacturer of forged, fabricated and machined components.

Due to success and growth, the business are seeking to recruit a maintenance engineer or maintenance technician for their operations.

The main responsibility for the role is you will be responsible for the continuous running of equipment and machinery in a forge, heavy industrial settings. You will oversee routine maintenance and organise repairs.

Duties;

As a maintenance engineer, the duties are as follows;

Carry out maintenance and preventative maintenance on production and plant machinery.

• Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults.
• General building and infrastructure maintenance and repairs.
• Carry out inspection of plant and equipment as required.
• Maintain maintenance schedule to include improvements and modifications.
• Work alongside, supervise and co-ordinate sub-contractors.
• Maintain stocks of spare parts.

Key skills for this role are as follows;

• Multi skilled both mechanically and electrically.
• Previous maintenance experience within a forge or heavy industry environment.
• Hold a 17th or 18th edition wiring certification.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic experience.
• Able to use hand and power tools.

The shift is a Days role Monday to Thursday 7.45am to 4.45pm and Friday 7.45am to 3.45pm.

Salary is up to £37,000 per annum and overtime at premium rates is available.

The role is based in the Dudley area so is easily commutable from Birmingham, Walsall, Wolverhampton, West Bromwich, West Bromwich, Kidderminster.
