Maintenance Engineer

The Recruitment Co are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to work for an established, growing business in the Blackpool area.

Maintenance Engineer salary: 32k - 36k per annum (Negotiable depending on experience)

Working hours: 8:00am - 16:30pm Monday - Friday

Maintenance Engineer Roles and responsibilities:
· Carry out maintenance work on production machinery, mechanical systems, and utilities.
· Recognise breakdowns and carry out repairs promptly to reduce downtime.
· Manage tool room operations, including the issuance, repair, storage, and tracking of tools, jigs, and fixtures.
· Operate machine tools (e.g., lathe, milling machine, surface grinder) to support repairs and fabrication needs.
· Ensure calibration of tools and measuring instruments is up to date.
· Keep maintenance and your workspace organized, using spreadsheets and maintenance management system software.
· Assist in machine installation, setup, and modification projects.
· Ensure compliance with safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.

Required Skills / Qualifications:
· 3+ years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment.

· Hands-on experience with both general maintenance tasks and tool room equipment.

· Ability to read technical drawings and work under own initiative

· Strong problem-solving skills.

· Comfortable working in a small team and willing to pitch in across departments
when needed.
