Maintenance Engineer Wanted!

Our client is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team on a permanent basis. The Maintenance Engineer will be working shifts varying early and lates, in the Basildon area. The Maintenance Engineer must have proven experience working with large manufacturing machines (CNC) in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities for the Maintenance Engineer:

• Raising purchase orders and negotiating prices
• Planning and scheduling machine servicing
• Planning and scheduling calibration for inspection of electronic measuring equipment
• Arranging and managing repairs/machine breakdowns with contractors
• General maintenance for the site and facility
• Machine repair
• Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) to cover all machining centres
• Running machine capability studies
• LOLER safety equipment checks on all lifting equipment

Skills Required for the Maintenance Engineer:

• Great attention to detail
• Experience in Engineering within a manufacturing environment
• Good machine repair knowledge
• Experience and skills in the setup of precision assemblies, the use of machines, fault finding and problem solving
• Can work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Able to plan and organise workload
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
