Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Telford
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday - Friday (Rotating Shifts: 07:00 - 15:00 / 14:45 - 22:45)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established industrial operation based in Telford. This is a key role in maintaining and improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and supporting the smooth running of all site operations.

• Assist with the configuration, installation, and commissioning of new equipment.

• Conduct planned and reactive maintenance to minimise equipment downtime.

• Carry out general maintenance on building services when required.

• Record and track maintenance activity using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).

• Promote and adhere to safe working practices, reporting any unsafe conditions or behaviours.

• Comply with all relevant quality, health & safety, and environmental standards and procedures.

• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by management.

• City and Guilds or equivalent in electro/mechanical engineering.

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role (approx. 70% electrical, 30% mechanical).

• Strong fault-finding skills across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and automated systems.

• Familiarity with logistics equipment (e.g. conveyors, packaging lines, AC motors, inverters).

• Experience with PLC-controlled systems (SIEMENS S7 experience desirable).

• Knowledge of electrical systems including 3-phase and single-phase installations.

• Comfortable working at height using MEWPs (IPAF 3A/3B certification desirable or willingness to train).

• Experience with machining tools (e.g. lathes, drills, saws) and welding (TIG, MIG, or Arc).

• Skilled in using a wide range of portable power tools.

• Innovative, solution focused, and able to respond effectively to a dynamic environment.

• Willingness to work rotating shifts, be available for call-outs, and complete training as required.

• Medically fit to perform all duties associated with the role.
