Three Shift Rotation (Earlies- 6:00-15:00/16:00 on Fri, Lates- 14:00-22:00/9-5 on Fri, Nights- 20:00-6:00/No Fri)

£47,403 per annum with OTE of £65K-£70K per annum

Gi Pro Maintenance are partnered with a well-established UK manufacturer in the building materials & construction industry, with an annual turnover of over £250 million and 60+ sites across the UK, hiring a Maintenance Engineer to join its Leicester-based site.

The engineering department consists of 18 skilled professionals, including Engineering and Maintenance Managers, Team Leaders, Fitters, and Electrical Apprentices.

The role involves responding to PPMs & reactive breakdowns on static concrete block-making machinery, wet cast lines, presses, packaging systems, and secondary processing equipment using the Shire CMMS system to manage maintenance activities and adhering to TPM. Some of the components you can expect to work with are hydraulic and pneumatic systems, proximity switches, motors, and PLCs/HMIs (fault-finding/io testing on Siemens/Allen Bradley), whilst upholding a strong health and safety led approach.

The site fosters a hands-on, supportive culture where engineers are encouraged to take initiative, collaborate, and continuously improve. With strong backing from both management and peers, the team enjoys low staff turnover, high productivity, and a focus on output over micromanagement. Creating an environment where autonomy and accountability go hand in hand.

What are we ideally looking for?

• A minimum of three years of experience in a maintenance role with an electrical bias.
• Apprentice trained (NVQ/BTEC L3) and 17/18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Engineers from all industries are encouraged to apply, management and engineers have come from food manufacturing and fmcg amongst others.
