Job Title: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and adaptable Maintenance Engineer to join a dynamic team in a manufacturing environment. The role involves maintaining a variety of standard and custom-built machinery, ensuring equipment runs safely, efficiently, and reliably. This includes both planned and reactive maintenance, with a strong focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine and emergency maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
• Diagnose and resolve faults quickly and effectively
• Implement and maintain preventative maintenance schedules
• Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using a computerised system
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
• Conduct quality checks and support wider engineering projects
• Collaborate with colleagues on larger tasks and provide support where needed
• Share knowledge and coach team members when appropriate

Skills & Experience Required:

• Recognised qualifications in mechanical and/or electrical engineering
• Proven experience in a similar multi-skilled maintenance role
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
• Familiarity with welding, hydraulics, and machining is advantageous
• Ability to read technical drawings and troubleshoot effectively
• A hands-on, solution-focused mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt
• Flexible approach to working hours, including overtime and weekends when required

Package:

• Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 depending on experience
• Hours: 37 per week
• Shift Options:
  
  • AM: Mon–Thurs 06:00–13:30, Fri 06:00–13:00 (Premium shift allowance)
  • PM: Mon–Thurs 13:15–20:45, Fri 13:00–20:00 (Premium shift allowance)
• Overtime:
  
  • Mon–Sat (up to 14:00): 1.5x
  • Sat (after 14:00) & Sun: 2x
• Pension: Up to 6% employer match
