Are you a practical, hands-on Maintenance Engineer who’s just as comfortable on the tools as you are organising suppliers and managing facilities? We're working with a well-established manufacturer in the Sittingbourne area that’s looking for a reliable and experienced Maintenance Engineer to take ownership of maintenance and facilities across the site.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone seeking a long-term, stable role where you can make a real impact while enjoying a varied working day – around 50% hands-on and 50% planning, organising and coordinating.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Carrying out mechanical and electrical maintenance (reactive and planned)
• Managing all site facilities, equipment, and infrastructure
• Creating, implementing, and monitoring maintenance schedules and procedures
• Coordinating external contractors and inspections
• Maintaining inventories for spares and consumables
• Taking a proactive role in safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
• Being the go-to person for all things maintenance on-site

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing maintenance role (mechanical/electrical)
• Comfortable being the sole maintenance engineer on site
• Solid mechanical skills with some electrical knowledge (18th Edition desirable)
• Great organisational skills – able to manage time, schedules, and contractors
• Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
• A steady, level-headed approach with a team-player mindset
