Salary: Up to £47,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same, and prioritisation will be key to your success.

You'll play a vital part in keeping machinery and equipment running smoothly, responding to breakdowns and completing preventative maintenance tasks to support continuous production.

Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults including control panels and production machinery
• Work with PLC systems, motor drives, and sensors
• Maintain and troubleshoot machinery including: packaging lines, conveyors, wrappers, extrusion machines, thermoformers, stacking machines, roll feeders, and HSP systems
• Collaborate with production teams to minimise downtime and ensure smooth operation
• Perform or be willing to learn welding tasks as needed

Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer:

• Experience in a manufacturing or production maintenance role
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
• 17th or 18th Edition certification
• Familiarity with high-speed production environments
• Welding skills (advantageous but not essential - training can be provided)
• A proactive approach, with the ability to prioritise and respond under pressure
