Premier Recruitment Group are proudly partnering with a fast-growing and dynamic fresh produce business based in the Dartford area. Due to continued expansion and the installation of brand-new, state-of-the-art production lines, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their on-site engineering team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a multi-skilled engineer looking to work with brand-new equipment in a chilled FMCG environment. Full training will be provided at the commissioning stage, making it ideal for someone who is keen to develop their career within a supportive and progressive company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out both reactive and planned maintenance on machinery and production equipment.
• Respond swiftly to breakdowns and minimise downtime.
• Complete PPM tasks and maintain accurate records via the CMMS system.
• Support machinery installation, movement, and commissioning projects.
• Work closely with operations and production teams to ensure smooth running of the site.
• Promote and adhere to health & safety and food safety standards.
• Support and contribute to the training and development of team members.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Multi-skilled Engineer - Electrical & Mechanical.
• Experience in an FMCG or chilled food production environment is essential.
• Apprenticeship trained with ONC/HNC or equivalent.
• Solid knowledge of pneumatics, bearings, electrical control systems, and fault-finding.
• Hands-on, proactive, and self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Confident using a CMMS system.
• Understanding of refrigeration systems is desirable.
• Strong organisational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to work flexibly as part of a shift pattern.
