Maintenance Engineer

Location: Featherstone, West Yorkshire
Salary: £42,000 + 9% Matched Pension, Health Shield, 4x Life Cover, 26 Days Holiday
Hours: 40 hours/week
Shifts: Rotating:

• Week 1: 6:00am – 1:30pm

• Week 2: 1:18pm – 9:00pm (Mon–Thurs, finish 8:00pm Thurs)

A leading global manufacturer in the packaging industry is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to support continued growth following a significant investment in production equipment.

This hands-on role is ideal for someone with a mechanical background and strong electrical skills who enjoys varied work, team collaboration, and continuous learning.

• Carry out both planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of production machinery.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults, ensuring minimal downtime.

• Work with components including motors, sensors, bearings, belts, chains, drives, compressors, pneumatics, and hydraulics.

• Perform root cause analysis, improve equipment reliability, and ensure safe operation of all systems.

• Maintain both machinery and the general site in good working order.

• Printing presses

• Slitting machines

• Conversion machines

• Rewinders

• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment

• Strong mechanical maintenance background (approx. 70%)

• Electrical skills and a relevant qualification (17th or 18th Edition preferred)

• Comfortable working with hydraulic/pneumatic systems

• Team-oriented, hands-on, and proactive in problem-solving

• Willingness to upskill through regular technical training
