Salary: Circa £54,000 per annum

Our client is currently offering an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team at a fast-paced manufacturing site in Sudbury. This role sits within a strategic factory team working with a range of equipment—from robotics to high-speed production machinery. You’ll report directly to the Maintenance Manager and collaborate closely with a tight-knit team, benefiting from both global resources and the supportive environment of a local site.

A Day in the Life of a Maintenance Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform reactive, preventative, and predictive maintenance to uphold machine condition.
  • Respond to breakdowns and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Champion a safety-first culture and proactively eliminate risks.
  • Ensure all engineering work meets GMP standards and follows safe systems of work.
  • Maintain compliance with quality policies, including engineering change management and line release.
  • Record breakdowns, conduct root cause analysis, and own follow-up actions.
  • Support RCA practices and improvement projects.
  • Mentor and support shift technicians, apprentice technicians and the Autonomous Maintenance team in line with the site’s TPM roadmap.

What Will Make You Successful?

To thrive in this role, you’ll ideally have experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment, with a proactive mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.
