Maintenance Engineer

Hales Group is recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Beccles. Your focus will be on preventative and reactive maintenance, supporting continuous improvement projects, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver sustainable preventative maintenance and efficient breakdown response.
• Report all maintenance issues to Factory and Department Managers.
• Motivate and manage machine crews during maintenance tasks.
• Maintain stock levels of consumables and communicate needs to management.
• Uphold high standards of housekeeping and drive improvements.
• Ensure compliance with ISO9001, ISO14001, and company procedures.
• Promote a culture of openness, honesty, and respect across the team.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Mechanical and electrical aptitude, ideally with experience in Book Binding or Print Finishing.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Logical thinker with a practical, hands-on approach.
• Proven ability to lead and work collaboratively within a team.
• Comfortable using IT systems at a user level.

LOCATION: Beccles
TERM: Permanent
HOURS: 37.5 Monday to Friday (Double Days / Short Friday Shifts)
PAY: IRO £38,000 per annum
