Maintenance Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join our client's engineering team in Leicester. This is a permanent full time job. The company is a supplier of machined and fabricated components. They have a global consumer base, and sub-contract work from some of the UK's largest companies.

Maintenance Engineer key job details:

* Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 15:00, 37.5 hours per week

* £35k salary

* Permanent job

* Company has a couple of sites in Leicester, some travel between them is a part of the role

Maintenance Engineer key responsibilities:

* Provide mechanical maintenance to a wide range of CNC and specialist machinery

* Mechanical repairs to gearboxes, bearings, shafts, drive chains, pumps and tanks

* Manage and resolve reactive breakdown repairs, reducing machine downtimes to a minimum

* As required carry out major refurbishment of plant, equipment and machinery

* PLC fault finding and interrogation

* Investigate reported faults, identify the cause and decide the necessary course of action to rectify the fault

* Planned preventative maintenance

* Comply with legal requirements and to work within Company health and safety guidelines

Maintenance Engineer person specification:

* HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering

* Experience of fault-finding and repairing CNC multi-axis machines

* Conversant with Fanuc & Siemens controls

* Good English skills (reading, verbal, written)

* Computer literate

* You must hold a UK driving licence and have your own car
