Maintenance Engineer

Our client is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Multi-Skilled Facilities Engineer to support client sites throughout the South West of England and South Wales. Based in Bristol or Bath, the successful candidate will work across a diverse range of commercial and retail environments, providing maintenance, repair and refurbishment services.

The role offers significant autonomy and is ideally suited to an engineer who enjoys problem-solving, taking ownership of maintenance issues and delivering a high-quality service to clients across a broad geographical area.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver planned and reactive maintenance services across the South West and South Wales.

* Carry out building fabric repairs, alterations and installations.

* Complete plumbing repairs and minor installation works.

* Undertake basic electrical maintenance tasks.

* Carry out carpentry, decorating and finishing works.

* Conduct site inspections and condition assessments.

* Support refurbishment, fit-out and small project activities.

* Ensure client sites remain safe, compliant and operational.

* Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and service records.

* Develop strong relationships with client stakeholders and site teams.

Essential Experience

* Facilities maintenance or building fabric maintenance experience.

* Multi-trade maintenance capability.

* Working knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.

* Experience operating independently across multiple client locations.

* Strong communication and customer service skills.

* Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

* Building Services or Facilities qualification.

* IPAF, PASMA and CSCS.

* 18th Edition qualification.

* Joinery, carpentry or refurbishment experience.

* Experience within retail, hospitality or logistics sectors
