Maintenance Engineer Electrically Biased

I'm currently working with a market leading, FMCG manufacturer in Blackburn that's experiencing sustained growth and investing heavily in its people and processes. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrically Biased) to become part of a collaborative and ambitious engineering team.

?? Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off - rotating days and nights (12-hour shifts: 6am-6pm / 6pm-6am)
? Bonus: No Saturday night shifts + shorter Saturday day shifts (8 hours) = more weekend time off!

• Minimise machinery downtime and ensure preventative maintenance is carried out effectively.
• Work closely with Production and Engineering leadership to maintain operational efficiency.
• Perform PPMs and reactive maintenance across a range of food processing equipment.
• Record and analyse faults to support continuous improvement.
• Support parts supply and inventory management.
• Champion health & safety and building maintenance initiatives.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.

• Strong electrical and mechanical engineering skills, ideally within a food/FMCG environment.
• Experience with PLC fault finding and CMMS systems.
• Engineering qualifications (e.g. BTEC ONC, HNC, HND in Electrical Engineering).
• Ideally IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certified.
• Knowledge of HACCP, COSHH, GMP, and internal H&S audits.
• A proactive mindset with a passion for quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.
